Dan was nominated by his friend and colleague, Rebecca, who said, “Dan Thater is a paramedic for NSLIJ who has been working tirelessly throughout this pandemic risking his life to save others. He has demonstrated a tremendous amount of courage and dedication to his service. He is also a loving father who endured being quarantined from his son to ensure the safety of his family. He is selfless and an asset to our community.”
