Was there really any doubt for this month’s birthday album?!
Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ turns the big 5-0 this month with a new box set and book to commemorate the anniversary along with a boatload of drama in recent weeks partly due to Roger Waters re-recording “Dark Side”.
The original is still as pristine-sounding to this day and really is the album where everything came together for Floyd, though they set the table and came darn close with ‘Meddle’ (thanks largely to ‘One of These Days’ and ‘Echoes’).
The back half of the album remains my favorite to this day.
