Hani was nominated by his friend, Michael who said, “Hani is the epitome of a “hometown hero.” He is a retired NYPD officer (9/11 first responder), a volunteer fireman (former chief), a member of the Harbor Patrol, and a school security guard; he has dedicated his life to serving the community and protecting others. It’s very common to see him rushing out the door, responding to a call. Hani is someone the whole community can look up to, and we are all proud to call him our neighbor”.
