Joseph was nominated by his father, Darren, who said, “Joey is a dedicated, committed Registered Nurse who has put the health and well-being of his patients ahead of his own. Throughout the pandemonium and chaos of the pandemic, he has brought calm and clarity to the sickest people he is responsible for, reassuring them that they are his highest priority. Although he is well, to ensure the continued welfare of his family he quarantined himself during the peak of the crisis and hasn’t visited his beloved “nonna” whom he ordinarily checks in on daily. Nursing is his chosen profession and helping people has always been of great significance.”
