This week’s honorees are Mark Valentino and Brandon Inman. They were nominated because, “Officer Mark Valentino and Officer Brandon Inman became members of the Nassau County Police Department in 2015. In March of 2022 they were both assigned to the Nassau County Police Mounted Unit. They are both well respected officers and an asset to the department.

On November 10, 2022, Officer Valentino and Officer Inman, along with the Police trainer of the mounted unit, were loading 2 horses in a trailer to transport to go train. The trainer, also a Police Officer, suffered a cardiac episode and immediately went into cardiac arrest. Both Officer Valentino and Inman sprang into action and began life saving CPR and used the defibrillator on the aided officer. After shocking the officer a couple of times, they were able to get a pulse and continued CPR until another responding officer arrived along with Police Medics. The aided officer was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated. These officers undoubtedly saved their fellow officers life.”
