Matt was nominated by his wife Gayle who says, “Matt has been a first responder since his teens when he started at Halesite Fire Department. Since then he has worked as a paramedic for FDNY, Mary Immaculate Hospital and currently for Nassau County PD as a Police Medic. He was part of the 9/11responders and continued at the World Trade Center in the weeks that followed. Matt has given his time to numerous departments across Nassau and Suffolk counties and continues to work in training other responders to be their best!”
