“NYPD Blue” Turns 30

,…the heart and soul of the show soon shined through with Dennis Franz as uber-cranky alcoholic detective and 15th squad anchor Andy Sipowicz.

‚…and who could forget Jimmy Smits, who played Sipowicz’s best partner by a mile, Bobby Simone.

You take away the nudity and foul language and “NYPD Blue” was in many ways a show about redemption that was fantastic from Episode 1 right up through 261 (yes, I loved the finale).
