Paul Wilders | Honoree for February 24th, 2023

Paul was nominated by his friend, Randy Goldbaum, who said “Paul Wilders is a 39 year veteran of fire service. He is the former chief of the North Merrick, NY Fire Department. Paul is currently the Assistant Chief instructor at the Nassau County, NY Fire Service Academy. This is the training facility for Nassau County Firefighters to ensure they are trained & prepared for real life situations. As an instructor of the national curriculum for the International Organization for Standardization, Chief Wilders has the responsibility of ensuring our first responders are properly trained and safe. Chief Wilders is also an advocate for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s Courage to Be Safe Program. He is a great Long Island First Responder!”
