Genesis on the road in 2021? Damn Good!
The classic lineup including Peter and Steve in the mix in some form? Tantalizing! But never gonna happen!
In light of that, Harry Styles may be a darn good stand-in for Peter Gabriel.
Hear me out, cynics!
He recently did a mighty fine rendition of “Sledgehammer” that got this Genesis nerd’s mind racing. What if Phil, Mike and Tony invited him to sing some Gabriel era deep cuts live in place of Peter?

Naturally, my mind flashed to Genesis’ crowning achievement in my book, “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway”. I think Styles would rock tunes from that album (“In The Cage”, “Back in NYC” and “The Carpet Crawlers” would be standouts) decked out in Peter Gabriel’s Rael attire.
