First it was Steve Hackett, and now it’s Brian May with a tune that is already a “Song of the Year” candidate (and 2019 is not even week old!).

The legendary Queen guitarist and one of rock's biggest brainacs (he's an astrophysicist) released a tune at midnight on New Years Day called "New Horizons". The tune celebrates NASA's recent trip to a place called Ultima Thule, wayaways from the farthest planet in our solar system, Pluto.

Brian’s warm and most excellent voice is on display here as is his legendary axe work. The Stephen Hawking intro was a nice touch, too! Playing this tune at the MSG show this summer with Adam Lambert singing it would be an even sweeter cherry on top!
