Tara was nominated by her mother, Sharon Korwan, who said, “My beautiful daughter Tara Korwan joined Wantagh Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corp in 2013. She became a certified EMT in March 2014 and was recognized as BLS Provider of the Year. She is now a certified EMT-CC and is employed by NYS as an EMT at Jones Beach. She has comforted and cared for the young and the old and has many Narcan and CPR saves. She is loved by her patients and her colleagues. She is an inspiration to us all by her never-ending desire to help people, even when not on duty. She is actively interviewing for medical school!”
