From “Rock of Ages” to Ripped for Stages

Making rock look and sound good 40 years later is The Charles Atlas of Rock!

Around this time 40 years ago, Def Leppard were reluctantly saying goodbye to Pete Wills and saying hello to a guitar player from nearby London named Phil Collen.

Flash ahead to today and he’s not only a rock hall of famer with his Lep comrades, but he’s very much going against the grain of the old rock star motto “live fast, die young, leave a good looking corpse”. He’s hitting the road with the Leps on the big Stadium tour, at the same time serving as a fitness buff and vegan ambassador and, happy to say after meeting him twice, just being a good guy.

Congrats on 40 years with the Leps, Phil!
