Steven Crawford was nominated by his wife Elizabeth who said, “Steven is a private duty in home nurse. His current patient is a young girl who is a quadriplegic with a traumatic brain injury due to being hit by a car. Her story was featured in Newsday to raise awareness about distracted drivers. Steven has been working 60 hours a week for over a year to take care of Jennifer because they have had trouble finding any other nurses to work on the case. It’s a very complex case which scares people off. I think he deserves recognition.”
