Bob Ross’ “The Joy of Painting” premiered on public access TV January 1983.
I had no business enjoying this show as much as I do considering what a stubborn, bratty and, at times, hyperactive kid I was who grew up on a steady diet of “Tom & Jerry” cartoons. But I always stopped switching the channel whenever Bob Ross came on and watched “The Joy of Painting”.
I’ll never get tired of his happy little trees!
