Thomas was nominated by his mother, Shannon Weber, who said “From a young age my son has always wanted to help people . At the age of 18 he joined the North Massapequa Fire Department. Recruited many of his friends to join . He became an NYPD police officer at 21 . He has dedicated his life to helping others whether it’s at the firehouse driving the fire truck or the ambulance, or patrolling the streets of NYC, he puts his heart and soul into community service. He makes me proud to be his mother every day of my life.”
