September 19th 1985 Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider testified before the United States Senate to fight censorship.
The Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) was trying to rate and label records because they did not like what they heard on them.
Many songs they cited were misinterpreted.
Dee went to Washington along with Frank Zappa and John Denver.
When it was all over, everybody was talking about what a great job Dee did before the Senate.
