Watch Guns N’ Roses Cover Soundgarden And Check Out Chris Cornell Covering John Lennon

Watch Guns N’ Roses live covering Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” and also check out Chris Cornell doing John Lennon’s “Watching The Wheels”.

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

If that is true, then here is some musical flattery.

This is a study on influences.

John Lennon influenced many people both as a Beatle and solo artist.

One of those people was Soundgarden frontman / songwriter and solo artist Chris Cornell.

This is obvious in the fact that Cornell’s posthumous album “No One Sings Like You Anymore” contains Lennon’s “Watching The Wheels”.

The influence between Guns N’ Roses and Cornell runs both ways.

You can see that by the fact that another track on Cornell’s “No One Sings Like You Anymore” is a cover of GNR’s “Patience”.

That tune giving Cornell his first #1.

Guns N’ Roses meanwhile have been covering the Soundgarden hit penned by Cornell “Black Hole Sun” live on their “Not In This Lifetime” tour.

Below check out video of Cornell’s Lennon cover and Guns N’ Roses doing Soundgarden.
