WATCH: Oilers Fan Throws Rotisserie Chicken On Ice During Playoff Game

Seeing things thrown on the ice at a hockey game isn’t necessarily uncommon. When a player scores a hat trick (3 goals one game) fans throw hats on the ice.

For decades, in Detroit, octopuses have been thrown on the ice. In Florida, Panthers fans have thrown rubber rats on the ice after a player killed a rat in the locker room with his stick back in the 90s, and went on to score 2 goals in that game, giving birth to the ‘rat trick."

On Wednesday night in Edmonton, during Game 2 of the first round of the Oilers/Ducks playoff series, the game was tied 4-4 in the 3rd period when someone threw a rotisserie chicken on the ice - allegedly to represent a dead duck.

Unfortunately it didn’t work as the Ducks scored 2 late goals and beat the Oilers to tie the series 1-1.
