Chris Frantz provided the beat for one of the most unique bands.
As was often said "The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads.
Something you’ll learn quickly in Chris’s book “Remain In Love”, is that despite what you may think, the sound and songs came from a band.
This book is not only a very real, non glorified or romanticized accounting of Talking Heads history, it is also a great read.
Chris has been married to his wife and band mate Tina Weymouth since 1977.
The book includes the band’s start at Rhode Island School of Design and winds through the early days of CBGB, their first European tour with The Ramones and dealing with bizarre behavior from their front man David Byrne.

Below that is a second video that I’ll explain.
Part of our talk included a memory for both of us that was in the book. about a tribute to Roy Orbison in LA.
I spoke to Chris and Tina about it the first time I met them in 2008.
There happens to be video of that meeting, that is the second video here.
Toward the end of that second video I ask Chris and Tina about that show in LA.
Check out the book “Remain In Love” and enjoy the videos below.
