Watch Tommy Shaw Perform Socially Distanced Version Of A Styx Classic With Cleveland’s Contemporary Youth Orchestra

Tommy Shaw revisits a 1977 classic from Styx in a remote performance with Cleveland's Contemporary Youth Orchestra.

Tommy Shaw teamed up with the 88 piece Cleveland Contemporary Youth Orchestra to do a remotely recorded take on the 1977 Styx classic “Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man).”

All of the players other than Shaw are between 12 and 18.

The performance was done to celebrate the anniversary of the Styx album “The Grand Illusion” which was released on July 7, 1977.

The Styx YouTube page for the video had a statement from the band that reads “We are still in awe over what these kids have put together, and it was an honor to be a part of their project. Thanks again for letting us in on the fun. Can’t think of any better way to celebrate the anniversary of Grand Illusion. You guys rock!”
