Each Wednesday, Joe will choose a Pet of the Week and will highlight that pet! A new pet will be chosen and featured each week!
Three year old Lucy is from a local boarding house confiscation. She is about 3 years old and is in need of a loving home with no small children. Poor Lucy was adopted and returned. She can be protective of her people and rightly so. She does not want to be abandoned ever again.

Save-A-Pet is a 501c3 no-kill shelter and have rescued and re-homed over 40,000 companion animals. We rely solely on donations. Save-A-Pet is located in the heart of Long Island in Port Jefferson Station. We have a low-cost vaccination and spay/neuter clinic. At Save-A-Pet’s Long Island animal shelter, we believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes. We provide spay and neuter services for Long Island feral cats and any necessary medical care for pets. We work diligently to educate the public, especially children, on the importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.
