It's a tempting thing when a house leaves out a bowl of candy on Halloween asking kids to take just one. Once in a while there's someone who uses the "finders keepers" rule and takes all of it, but you wouldn't think it would be a parent!
One family in California decided to leave out full-size Halloween candy bars for trick-or-treaters this year with a note that said, "Help yourself but be considerate!"
Most of the kids seen on the home security cameras follow the instructions, taking their fair share of candy and leaving some for everyone. Then two kids, one dressed as Jason from "Friday the 13th" and one dressed as Edward Scissorhands, walk up with their mother, who is dressed like a bunny.
At first, the kids seem to only take a few. But once mom sees that it's fair game on the treats, she starts stuffing all of them in her bag and appears to be encouraging her kids to do the same.
The footage was uploaded by user InternetLasers who writes in the video description: 'We figured a group of kids would probably end up taking all of the candy at one point during the night, but everyone was really considerate...until this upstanding mother came to save the day.'
The video has received more than 2 million hits so far.
