The scariest month of the year is finally here. And what's even more frightening than spooky decorations, haunted houses, and ghastly ghost stories you're bound to come across this October? Maybe the fact that you might no longer be able to cozy up on the couch and watch your favorite movie this month. That's right—an unlucky 13 films are being dropped from Hulu in October 2025.
There are many reasons why a movie might leave Hulu—the rights may no longer be available, or its popularity may not justify the cost of licensing it, for example. Whatever the reason may be, your days are numbered for watching these films before they're gone this October.
One of the movies on the chopping block this month is the 2021 crime drama "The Forgiven," starring Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain as a couple who travel to Morocco in an attempt to save their marriage, only to experience more trouble when they're involved in a fatal car crash. Curious to know the fate of their relationship and the accident? You have until Oct. 5 to watch "The Forgiven" on Hulu and find out.
Also, despite Halloween being just around the corner, Hulu is planning to get rid of a few horror movies in October, including the sci-fi horror flick "Kids vs. Aliens," about a Halloween house party that gets attacked by aliens, and "Abandoned," a horror film that features Emma Roberts and John Gallagher Jr. as a married couple who move to a remote farmhouse with their infant son in search of a fresh start. These two scary movies will leave Hulu on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14, respectively.
The third and final horror movie set to depart Hulu this month gets the axe one day before Halloween. That's the 2022 sci-fi body horror film "Crimes of the Future," which follows a performance artist duo (Viggo Mortensen and Léa Seydoux) that performs surgeries for audiences in a future where humans evolve and mutate to grow new organs.
