‘Better Call Saul’ actor Bob Odenkirk says ‘I’m going to be OK’

ALBQUERQUE, N.M. — “Better Call Saul” actor Bob Odenkirk said he will recover after suffering a “small heart attack,” the actor said Friday.

The Emmy Award-nominated actor, who plays Saul Goodman in the “Breaking Bad” spinoff, collapsed Tuesday on the set of “Better Call Saul” in Albuquerque, New Mexico, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 58-year-old actor remains hospitalized in New Mexico, the website reported.

Odenkirk took to social media to assure his fans that he was on the mend.

“Hi. It’s Bob. Thank you. To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week,” Odenkirk tweeted. “And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It’s overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much.”

Odenkirk added on Twitter that he had “a small heart attack. “

“I’m going to take a beat to recover but I’ll be back soon,” he tweeted.

Odenkirk’s friend, David Cross, tweeted that Odenkirk was in good spirits and was even joking around.

“Just got off the phone with Bob and he’s doing great!” Cross tweeted. “Joking and japing and joshing. Both he and his family are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and concern everyone has shown. You will be hearing from him soon.”

Odenkirk also is known for his roles in several other television shows and films, including “Nobody” (2021) and “Nebraska” (2013).
