TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Florida man began the new year in high style, winning a $13.75 million jackpot in the state’s Lotto drawing.
Yahudah Ysrayl, 62, of Tallahassee, matched all six numbers in Florida’s Lotto drawing on Jan. 5, lottery officials said in a news release Thursday.
Ysrayl’s Quick-Pick ticket produced the winning numbers -- 9-38-42-45-48-51 -- lottery officials said.
He bought the ticket at a Publix in Wildwood, the release stated.
Lottery officials said Ysrayl elected to take his winnings in a lump sum, so he will receive $10,400,043.67 before taxes.
