Operation Santa is now accepting letters for this year’s outreach.

Once the USPS receives the letters, they are reviewed and shared online with personal information hidden. Some of the past letters are posted online with new ones starting to appear on Nov. 28. Starting that day, those who have a little extra room in their hearts can adopt a letter and buy the gifts the child has requested.

To be considered one of Santa’s helpers, you must create an account and be verified — either on your own or as part of a team. The portal to apply will open on Nov. 14.

Once that is done, you shop for and then send the gifts from a participating post office.
